The scenery at Lake Atitlan was absolutely gorgeous but the accommodations were significantly less than I expected. While other cabins were much more comfortable and spacious, our cabin was extremely small. To be frank, I felt completely overcharged. It felt a lot more like a cheap hostel. We expected a hike up to it (about 12 flights of stairs according to my Apple Watch), and it certainly did not disappoint in that regard! Hot water could be spotty for some, although it was manageable for us. The drainage was atrocious in both the sink (which was literally just a metal bucket with a small hole in it) and the shower (which flooded the entire bathroom). The sauna was wood-fired and enclosed and the "hot-tub" could only get to tepid at best - not quite the luxuries that they seemed. The food was healthy and good, and I had a spectacular massage from one of the locals who came on site.

I had an amazing time and the trip throughout Guatemala was flawless and invigorating! Alex and Grace are phenomenal people and the experience is life changing!

Absolutely unforgettable experience! Each and every detail were carefully and thoughtfully managed by the SolSeed team. Everything was just so seamless and perfect. I cannot say enough good things about it. Our guides felt like friends by the end of the week. I would 110% do it all over again and highly recommend the trip to anyone who asked.

The retreat at Lake Atitlan was great. The food at the resort was top notch and it was a fun surprise each meal on what we were getting. They are very accommodating to those of us with dietary restrictions as well. I enjoyed all the excursions we went on. I also love the fact if you decided to relax for the day that was definitely an option and I didn't feel pressured to go go go. Grace and Alex are phenomenal at Solseed and made our trip feel fun and relaxing. They were always available for any questions and made us feel very welcomed. I would highly recommend this excursion for those looking to get away and unwind. Major bonus is the water and volcano views from all over the resort with sauna and hot tub availability all day long.
