Escape with Alex Dawson to Lake Atitlan, a magical crater lake located in the heart of Guatemala. This retreat will provide you with the perfect opportunity to explore a remote, sacred part of the world that will open your heart, reset your nervous system, and open you to the possibilities of your dreams.

Our trip begins with an overnight stay in the beautiful city of Antigua, where the group will gather. You'll have time to explore the unique architecture, rooftop bars &amp; restaurants, and boutiques of Antigua prior to meeting up for a welcome dinner that evening. We highly recommend coming in a night early, if you can, to enjoy even more time in this city!

On day 2, we will make our way to Isla Verde, a lakefront hotel with a tranquil bohemian vibe, and stunning views of Lake Atitlan. Once there, you will have ample opportunity to experience the Mayan culture around the lake, connect with nature, practice yoga in community, and create your own adventure.

Our days will include daily yoga classes and mindful meditation with Alex, locally sourced meals, two included excursions, and plenty of time for relaxation and reflection amongst the peaceful grounds of Isla Verde. Our retreat center features a lakefront sauna, hot tub, and restaurant / lounge area, all available for you to enjoy!

Outdoor lovers will have ample opportunity to partake in many activities throughout our week including: kayaking, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, horseback riding, zip lining, and paragliding, to name a few. Cultural activities include local cooking, weaving, and beading classes, and community seva projects. Boat rides are readily available to visit neighboring Mayan villages where you can enjoy local foods, markets, and some of the best textile and arts shopping in Central America.

This spacious suite sleeps up to 5 people comfortably. All guests will have their own bed - some on the first level, and some on the second "loft" level of the suite. This suite has one shared bathroom, as well as an outdoor deck with stunning lake views.

You must have a valid passport to travel to Guatemala. Please check your passport expiration date and make sure it is valid for at least 6 months after the end date of your retreat.
 
Effective August 12, 2022, the Government of Guatemala no longer requires passengers arriving by air to present proof of a negative COVID test or proof of a complete COVID vaccine course to enter Guatemala.

Passport & COVID-19 Entry Requirements

The purchase of travel insurance is required for this trip.
 
Most policies protect you against potential trip delays or cancellations due to airline issues, family emergencies, illness, injury, etc. The travel insurance will also demonstrate to the host country that you are able to pay for any emergency services which may be necessary during your stay.
 
SolSeed is not authorized to sell travel insurance. Any offer to purchase travel insurance that you encounter during the checkout process are third party offers. You are free to select your own policy provider. We strongly encourage you to speak with a travel insurance agent to discuss your specific coverage needs, and to clear up any questions you may have relative to travel insurance coverage, including questions about COVID-19.
 
Please make sure you purchase a plan that includes coverage for COVID-19 related trip cancellations and trip interruptions as not all do.

Required Travel Insurance 

All retreats include a $500 non-refundable / non-transferable deposit, which is required to hold your spot on the trip. Any balance payments made are also non-refundable / non-transferable. SolSeed Retreats can only make an exception to these terms if:

 <li>The host government forbids our vendors from hosting us as tourists.</li>
 <li>The US government forbids us to travel to the host country as tourists.</li>

If SolSeed must further postpone or cancel the trip for any of the above reasons, all registrants will receive a refund of all deposits paid less $200.
 
If you refuse to comply with the entry laws of the host country, region, town, etc; SolSeed will not consider this a valid reason for receiving any refund. SolSeed will ensure to the best of their abilities that all registrants comply with all then current laws and regulations.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Arrival Time: Arrive between 11am and 4pm Guatemala time to take part in included group transportation from the airport to our hotel in Antigua, Guatemala, where we spend the first night of the retreat.

Note: If you arrive before 11am or after 4pm, we can arrange a driver for you for an estimated cost of $45, which will be payable directly to our hotel in Antigua upon check-in. If you plan to arrive an entire day or more early, we can help with hotels and transportation. Our first scheduled event on Saturday is a group dinner in Antigua at 7pm, so please arrive by 4pm to ensure you make dinner.

Everything about this trip from Brent's yoga classes, to the stunning hotel and world class spa, and the majestic setting were beyond my expectations.  This was an amazing, unique and very special experience.  The Dolomites did not disappoint.   Everything was truly perfection and beyond.  

We had a fabulous trip. The resort was spectacular comfortable beds, spacious accommodations. Food was wonderful. Everyone was helpful the alder Was one of the best resorts I have ever stayed in a five star planning on returning there again .the town was magical 

Terrific combination of leadership; wellness; people in the group; and experience of Morocco

Had a great time seeing and learning about Costa Brava, all while having fun with new and old friends sharing experiences of Amelia’s Yoga,  Cathy’s Qi-Gong,  and Amy’s Breath work,  and also Dancing, playing Ping Pong and eating healthy vegan foods.  Quim was a great guide, the wine tour was excellent, and really enjoyed Girona and the Via Ferrata!

Such a special location and group of travelers! All of the support people were so helpful — both at the resort, and transporting and guiding us for excursions. Working with Tina, Kristin, and Ian was informative and supportive. They have such a well established system in place for retreat leaders.

Adventure to the Azores with Susan Wrba

The yoga retreat to the Azores was life changing. Everything was so beautiful and peaceful. The island is interesting and it’s very easy to navigate and explore. Sol Seed did a phenomenal job!  
Especially with the excursions, our drivers, and Omgoodness the food. 

Spectacular location. Great resort and spa. Group dinners were painful because the service was slow and I was often stuck with people who were drinking. I was expecting the yoga to be more challenging. I’m glad I went but I won’t go on a trip like this again.

We enjoyed the experience greatly.  The hotel was beautiful, good food, nice people & Petra is an excellent instructor.  The hiking guides were wonderful.
It was an all around great experience.

HIKE HEAL AND FLOW - Flow With Zoë

This trip was absolutely phenomenal. It was extremely well organized by both Solseeds and specifically Nick Richard of Leaderboard. We stayed at the Octant Hotel, which was fantastic. The breakfasts were early and ready each morning—perfect fuel for a day on the course. The dinners were outstanding, with extravagant multi-course meals that left me barely able to find room for the next plate.

The weather in Sao Miguel made the experience truly unique. As they say there, “If you don’t like the weather, wait 10 minutes.” We’d drive through thick fog heading from the south to the north side of the island toward our tee time, nervously wondering if we’d even be able to see the fairways. Then, as if by magic, the clouds would part, and we’d be greeted by fresh air and sunshine. Sometimes there were short rain showers or a full foggy day, but these changing conditions ended up making the trip even more memorable and special.

If you’re going to golf in Portugal, do it the right way—Leaderboard sets you up for the full, authentic experience. I felt taken care of every step of the way by Nick Richard and the entire team. Our driver was incredible, always ready to help. At one point, I accidentally left my iPhone in the van, and he went out of his way to return it quickly—just one example of the care and attention we experienced throughout the week.

This trip was perfect for any type of golfer. If you want a competitive experience, you can have that. If, like me, you just want a relaxing golf vacation with great food, amazing people, and unforgettable courses, this is exactly the trip for you.

I will absolutely be booking many more of these. Huge thanks to Leaderboard, Nick Richard, our driver, and the staff at the Octant Hotel for making this such an incredible experience.

Transformative! The leader, Liz, was gracious, attentive, and kind to all. She always had our best interest in mind. The resort was outstanding. Hiking and Yoga Adventure in the Azores, Portugal with Village Yoga

Never a dull moment on this amazing retreat. The opportunity to see both the city and the seaside showed so much of the variety of the country and the culture. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. I would take another trip with this group in a heartbeat!

The trip was truly magical.  The resort and the island of Sao Miguel are stunningly beautiful.  I loved that most meals and some activities were pre-arranged. For me, it was the perfect mix of planned excursions and free time to do as you wish. The hiking excursions were incredible, and the guides were informative and personable.  Staff at the resort as well as taxi and transport drivers were  friendly and knowledgeable, being extraordinarily helpful in responding to inquiries as well as assisting with free day activities. 
The resort was located in on a beautiful black sand beach, and was very convenient to all of the island. Lodging at the resort was very comfortable. The rooms and common areas were simply, but tastefully decorated.  (Although bathroom area of room could use a bit brighter lighting). The meals at the restaurant were generally very good, with only a few exceptions.  (E.G: Steak served at the group included meal was a bit tough, but was excellent when ordered separately).  The two dinners out were superb - food, atmosphere, and staff were exceptional.
Overall this trip earns a 5 out 5 stars!! Very happy with the experience I had. 

I CANNOT rave enough about Can Jan B&B.  The food was spectacular, the owners lovely and kind, the rooms large and comfortable, and the pool/pool house/grounds absolutely stunning. Our guide Grace is sweet, kind, knowledgeable, and awesome to work with. Andrea is a gem of a human and a wonderful yoga instructor.

Yoga + Hiking + views forever in the Italian Dolomites + Friends plus plus plus!  There is nothing to say except this experience was one in a million and far beyond any of my expectations! The Resort was beautiful with amazing guest rooms, spa facilities, staff, food and location in the beautiful village of Ortisei. SolSeeds did an amazing job with the planning of this Retreat, right down to the efficient transport of us all from/to Munich Airport, the included guided hikes through the mountains with local guides, including two fantastic lunch stops mountainside in rustic chalets and overall attention to every detail.  Amazing - don't miss the chance to experience this Retreat! 



Elevate and Explore: Dolomites Retreat with Greener Postures Yoga

I was blown away by this trip.. I am so grateful for this community. Never would I travel to Africa alone, but joining DDY and Shelley here, made me take the leap, and let me tell you, Morocco is simply amazing. I so enjoyed the food, the cooking class, yoga and connection with so many old and new friends. I am always blown away with all that we do, yet I come home refreshed, motivated, HAPPY. I recommend DDY Travels without hesitation. DO IT!!!!

Escape to Costa Brava with Rachel Colombo

This was a truly fantastic trip.  The accommodations and location were stunning and comfortable.  The yoga lead by Rachel was fun, hard, playful, restorative and relaxing.  The day trips were well planned and beautiful.  By far my favorite thing was the food by Danny.  I have a tricky diet and he was able to make sure that my meals were safe for me to eat as well as delicious and nutritious.   And Grace did a wonderful job keeping us informed and on schedule.  My only wish is that it could have been a day longer and we could have had another free day at the villa.

This was the second year that I've joined a retreat through Solseeds and for the second time, there were no disappointments! The yoga and fellow travelers were delightful, but even more so the sense of comfort and community that the staff encourages by engaging the most wonderful venues, guides, chefs, excursions...twice I've come away feeling as though my experience was one that I didn't know I needed. Thank you Solseeds- your vision truly feeds and delights my soul. 

This was an outstanding trip. Wonderful accomodations, outstanding food, and our guide Grace was as efficient and lovely as a person could be. I'm already ready for the next adventure!

This was a fabulous retreat. Tracy's classes were the best. And the location in the Azores was beautiful. The excursions were wonderful too. Got to see the best of this beautiful island with some awesome people

The trip to Morocco with Cat was amazing! It was well organized and the accommodations were better than expected. The. best part of the trip was Yoga in the morning and the hot air balloon adventure.

Loved the retreat!  Tracy is such a wonderful teacher, and a lovely, warm person.  The other participants were fun, interesting, welcoming people - a testament to Tracy's network.  Deb and her SolSeed team on the ground (Tina, Caroline) were great too - they were responsive, helpful, gave clear communications, and offered lots of options for excursions and outings.  The guides were fabulous - Tiago and Daniella, as were the drivers (shout out to Cesar).  Senhora Rosa was a lovely comfortable hotel, with thoughtful and responsive staff.  The island itself is beautiful, peaceful, and a delight to explore and discover. Only complaint is that the dinner food was subpar (the breakfast buffets were good).  

Great trip and a beautiful resort with really nice staff. Dinners at resort were not very good but breakfasts were great!

This was a great trip.  Soleseed’s Grace was spectacular in the planning from start to finish.  The location was so special - secluded and perfect for a yoga retreat.  Cooks Sophie and Caroline were gourmet - using local ingredients and providing healthy meals time and again.  Our yoga instructor Andrea was warm, knowledgeable and a joy.  It was wonderful!!!

Having the opportunity to attend a Yoga Retreat in the Azores was an incredible experience!! Our yoga classes were of course amazing! The hotel was beautiful and they were able to accommodate our large group. There was even a unique surprise on the property with a hot tub in a Pineapple greenhouse. How cool is that?! 

Solseed did a great job coordinating the trip from the beginning and had a local guide company lined up to take us on daily adventures. The weather was ever changing but the guides did a great job substituting for the original plan. 

High marks to the Solseed team, local guides and the hotel staff who did a great job making us comfortable and preparing food for us!!

This was a fantastic trip. I liked the daily yoga classes and the balance between scheduled group excursions and free days.

The resort was the perfect location. A quick beach, walk to town and lovely facilities. For the program, the mix of activity and downtime was good. The leaders encouraged you to do what you needed to do for this week. This type of flexibility meant you listened more to your body and your mind versus just doing the  program. The program: yoga 2x day plus a hiking event. Loved that hiking offered an easy and hard option. Something for everyone. 

Journey to the Green Island: Yoga, Meditation, Adventure in the Azores

Attending this yoga retreat in Morocco with Sol Seed Retreats, led by Cat Lynch Capowski, was an insanely wonderful and truly transformative experience. From start to finish, every element was thoughtfully curated to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.

Cat, our yoga and qi gong teacher, is nothing short of amazing. Her classes combined breathwork, mindful movement, and deep stretching in a way that helped us release, reset, and reconnect on every level. Her presence and guidance were calming, empowering, and deeply healing.

Morocco itself was a beautiful surprise—I had no idea how stunning and rich in culture the country is. The landscapes, the architecture, the food, and most of all, the people, were incredibly warm and welcoming. I felt deeply touched by the kindness and depth of the Moroccan culture and traditions.

A special thank you to our guide, Ismail, who made the journey even more enriching. He was knowledgeable, open-minded, and passionate about sharing the culture and history of the places we visited. His thoughtful conversations and genuine warmth added so much to the experience.

This retreat exceeded every expectation. If you're considering this retreat—do it. It was a soul-nourishing adventure I’ll never forget, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Cat is an amazing retreat leader with exactly the right balance of nurturing and encouraging. The retreat accommodations were excellent and the content fulfilling. I highly recommend. 

Traveling with SolSeed to the Azores for the 2nd time was just as amazing as the first. As a retreat leader, I so appreciate the in-country support from Deb and the whole team. Everything was well organized, the food was incredible, and our retreaters had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Cat did a wonderful job. She is a shining star.  The trip was fine.  However, it would have been more successful for me if I had received information about how to take more precautions about gastric disease.  There was so much that you sent us in preparation, but not much about travelers' gastric vulnerabilities.  My spouse and I got really sick, unfortunately, 2/3 of our group got sick, too.  I believe this could have been prepared for and perhaps even prevented.

Also, there was some lack of clarity around the cost of excursions.  Our local guide was unclear, collected money from us in a restaurant--which was inappropriate and dimmed the event.

And the trip was fine, excursions fun, accommodations lovely--it's a shame that illness took a few days away from us.

This was an amazing adventure. The staff on the ground…Deb and Tina… were absolutely fantastic. We will have no hesitation booking another trip with Solseed. Thanks to all involved with the organization of this great trip.
