FLOURISH: A DESTINATION RETREAT AT THE EDGE OF SELF-MASTERY
Join Amber Campion — owner of Haumbody Sanctuary and creator of Dynamic Release Method® — for a week-long retreat on Lake Atitlán, one of the most striking crater lakes in the world, set in the highlands of Guatemala.
Flourish is built for people who take their inner work seriously — but not themselves. This is for the responsible ones: the leaders, the doers, the creators, the care-takers, the visionaries — the ones already doing the work — who are ready to go deeper, get uncomfortable, and still leave room to play. You're the type who comes to a retreat for the land, the culture, the community, AND the stellar itinerary — you show up, say yes to the unfamiliar, feel gratitude easily, and lean toward people in a room instead of away from them. You often hold space for others, and you appreciate retreats where you finally get to be held, and are also around like-minded people who value depth, as much as levity.
Mornings are held for practice — DRM sessions that open not only the body, but the mind — making space for the physical, mental, and emotional work of the week to unfold at its own pace. The rest of the day opens outward: guided excursions into the villages, markets, and volcanic terrain around the lake, time with local culture, craft, and ceremony — and plenty of room for connection and play with the group. Some evenings are left open to rest; others bring everyone back together for deeper, workshop-style sessions where the week's work has time to settle and integrate. You are down for a powerful somatic breathwork session as much as a playful improv theatre experience.
Small group. One location unlike anywhere else on earth. A week built to challenge and delight you — never to leave you depleted.
TELL ME MORE!
Our journey begins with an overnight stay in the colonial city of Antigua, a UNESCO world heritage site, where our community will gather and connect for the first time. You'll have time to explore the unique architecture, rooftop restaurants, and boutiques of Antigua prior to meeting up for a welcome dinner that evening. We highly recommend coming in a night early, if you can, to enjoy even more time in this city!
On day 2, we will make our way to Isla Verde, a lakefront retreat center with a relaxing bohemian vibe, and stunning views of Lake Atitlan. Once there, you will have ample opportunity to experience the Mayan culture of Lake Atitlan, connect with nature, practice in community, and create your own adventure.
Our time together will include exquisite yoga + transformational workshops with Amber, locally sourced meals, two included cultural and active excursions, a service project at a local school, a Mayan Fire Ceremony, and plenty of time for you to relax and recharge amongst the lush grounds of Isla Verde and Lake Atitlan. Our retreat center features a lakefront hot tub, temazcal sauna, and restaurant / lounge area, all available for you to enjoy!
Outdoor lovers will have ample opportunity to partake in many activities throughout our week including: hiking, stand up paddle boarding, zip lining, and paragliding, to name a few. Cultural activities include local cooking and weaving classes, and coffee farm tours. Boat rides are readily available to visit neighboring Mayan villages where you can enjoy local foods, markets, and some of the best textile and arts shopping in Central America.
Here's how you can get started...

Lake Atitlan is a magical, 50 square mile, crater lake located in south-east Guatemala. At its deepest point, it’s over 1,100 feet! It’s approximately a 3.5 hour drive from Guatemala City and 2 hours from the beautiful colonial city of Antigua. Surrounded by majestic volcanoes and cultural Mayan villages, Lake Atitlan is the perfect place to disconnect, explore, and open your heart and perspective to what could be.
The climate at Lake Atitlan is also perfection, and incredibly complimentary for yoga classes, as well as outdoor adventuring. From January - April, daytime highs average a comfortable 75 - 80 degrees. Evenings are cooler, with temperatures in the low 60’s / high 50’s, perfect for sleeping. At a mile high in altitude, warm days of swimming and exploring are followed by cool nights in flannels by the fire, or relaxing in the wood-fired sauna.
We rank this itinerary as Activity Level 4 - Active, however, modifications are available to make it Activity Level 3 - Moderate. The retreat center is situated on the side of a hill, and participants will need to be comfortable climbing flights of stairs throughout each day. You will also need to be comfortable getting in and out of boats, and navigating unpaved, narrow pathways.
Participants should have an expectation for climbing 8-12 sets of stone steps *without railings* if they opt for the Single Occupancy or Double Occupancy Cabins. Additionally, maneuvering around the historic, cobblestoned city of Antigua requires excellent mobility on uneven surfaces. This trip is not advised for anyone who has trouble walking or climbing without assistance.
Activity Level 1 - Easy: Expect only short walks, and short flights of stairs.
Activity Level 2 - Relaxed: Expect short walks, slight inclines, and sustained activity for only a few hours.
Activity Level 3 - Moderate: Expect slightly longer walks, and activities that correlate to a semi-active lifestyle. Participants should be comfortable with half days of touring, and walking up and down steeper inclines.
Activity Level 4 - Active: Expect longer walks, steeper inclines, and 4 - 6 hours of sustained activities, with appropriate rests. To take advantage of all the offerings, folks should lead an active life style.
Activity Level 5 - Challenging: Expect vigorous walks, hikes, kayaking, etc. Participants should be experienced in outdoor activities, and know how to prepare for, and endeavor upon full day adventures in the wild!
If you have any questions or concerns about this itinerary's Activity Level, please contact info@solseedretreats.com for more details prior to registering.
You must have a valid passport to travel to Guatemala. Please check your passport expiration date and make sure it is valid for the time you are on your retreat.

Note: We do not visit areas at risk of Malaria or Yellow Fever.
Please refrain from booking flights until you receive flight parameters from the SolSeed Operations Team.

The purchase of travel insurance is required for this trip.
Most travel insurance policies can help protect you in the event of unexpected trip delays or cancellations due to airline disruptions, family emergencies, illness, or injury. Coverage can also help demonstrate to the host country that you are financially prepared to cover emergency services that may be needed during your stay.
SolSeed does not sell or provide travel insurance. Any insurance offers you may see during checkout are provided by third-party providers, and you are free to choose the policy and provider that best fit your needs.
If you’d like a convenient place to compare options, we’ve found InsureMyTrip to be a helpful online marketplace. We’ve also had excellent experiences with Trawick International and their customer service, and have heard consistently positive feedback from AAA and American Express members who have purchased travel insurance through those organizations. Additionally, some travel-focused credit cards—such as the Chase Sapphire® cards—may include built-in travel insurance benefits when trip-related expenses are paid with the card. Coverage and eligibility vary by card and issuer, so we recommend reviewing your card’s benefits guide or contacting the card issuer directly to confirm what protections apply.
We strongly encourage you to speak directly with a travel insurance agent to discuss your specific coverage needs and to make sure you understand what your policy does—and does not—cover.
