Join Jen T. for 6 night / 7 day retreat in the foothills of the Spanish Pyrenees!
Nestled in the heart of Catalonia, B&B Can Jan sits in the foothills of the majestic Pyrenees mountains and is the perfect place for a retreat steeped in nature, Spanish culture, and relaxation.
Located just a two hour drive from Barcelona, the location is ideal for finding tranquility and cultural richness in the rural countryside, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Adjacent to the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, the area also provides easy access to diverse landscapes and volcanic terrain, making it a perfect backdrop for a restorative retreat.
We stay at the charming Can Jan, a family run B&B with 10 freshly renovated bedrooms, where you can enjoy the serene pool, rejuvenate in the soothing sauna, and walk a network of forest paths amidst tranquil countryside. Can Jan offers a peaceful retreat with stunning views in a blend of comfort and natural beauty.
Just 10 minutes drive down the way is Besalú, a medieval gem that highlights Spain’s historic charm, and diverse regional beauty. The village boasts an ancient stone bridge, cobblestone streets, and views of the surrounding hills, offering a peaceful escape from the modern world.
The food will be a highlight of your experience. Every meal at Can Jan will be specially prepared for you, featuring a variety of fresh and locally sourced dishes that highlight the flavors of Catalonia.
During this itinerary, we include three excursions that we feel highlight the unique must-dos of the region.
On your first full day, we’ll hike through the stunning Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, renowned for its unique volcanic landscapes and lush greenery. In this diverse terrain you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of ancient craters, dense forests, and rolling hills. We'll end your hike local-style with a lunch in a nearby medieval village.
We will also spend a day visiting the cultural and historical city of Girona, where we will include an expertly guided tour of the old city and lunch at a delicious local restaurant.
Finally, our knowledgeable local guides will take you on a guided visit to the Salvador Dali Museum in nearby Figueres, and finish the afternoon with a Vineyard & Winery tour at La Vinyeta with picnic lunch.
Of course, there is ample free time to simply sit by the pool, read a book, get a massage, visit another nearby village, explore endless walking trails on the property. You can also book optional adventure excursions like coasteering, mountain biking, via ferrata, or river rafting.
Daily all-levels yoga, meditation, and journaling with Jen will be at the heart of this experience, creating space to explore connection to yourself and your internal world, within a community of like-minded humans. Classes will guide you to move, breathe, play, be still, and notice. This retreat will invite you to deepen your practice and be curious about your body, mind, and experience of being. You might even bring your observations into your journey of life, long after the week has ended.
Read on for a heartfelt testimonial from Alvin P., who attended Jen's previous retreat in Guatemala. Here's why he immediately registered for Spain:
"Jen is one of the most thoughtful and purposeful yoga instructors I’ve ever practiced with. Each class had a meaningful theme that wove together meditation, movement, and self-reflection in a way that supported all levels. She was able to meet everyone where they were and create a space that felt both safe and empowering.
The community was incredible—filled with like-minded travelers who were not only friendly and fun but also open-hearted and easy to connect with. It felt so refreshing to be in that environment.
What I appreciated most was the balance of structure and spontaneity. I didn’t have to plan much before arriving (other than flights). And once I got there, I could build my days around how I felt—whether that meant joining a group hike, lounging by the lake, or diving deeper into yoga.
This trip brought me back to myself. It was the reset I didn’t know I needed. I’m already looking forward to Jen’s next retreat in Spain in 2026—it’s absolutely worth booking. If you’re on the fence, book it!!!"

Arrival Date: Sunday, May 3rd 2026
If you will arrive at Barcelona Airport (BCN) on the retreat start date, please plan to land by 11am. We will schedule one included group transfer from the airport to our resort in Besalú (about a 2 hour drive), and arrive in time for an afternoon meal.
Please note that you will likely need to depart from the United States on Saturday evening, as flights heading over to Spain are typically overnight flights.
Note: If you plan to arrive a few days early to spend extra time in Barcelona prior to the retreat start date, we will also make one pickup stop in the city center before heading to the retreat center. Barcelona’s streets are tightly regulated, and so the hired transport can only stop in select areas. You should be prepared to take a short taxi or Uber to a central location on the morning of the retreat start date. We will send specific downtown pickup details about a week beforehand.
Departure Date: Saturday, May 9th 2026
Please do NOT book flights that depart before 12pm the departure date, as we will be traveling about 2 hours from our resort in Besalú to the airport that morning.
Note: We will plan to make one stop at the airport, and one stop in the city center for anyone staying on and exploring Barcelona after the retreat. Once again, this stop will be made in a central location, and a short taxi ride will likely be necessary to reach your specific hotel or AirBnB.
If you are spending extra time in Barcelona, we recommend booking hotels / AirBnbs in the El Born and Gothic Quarter neighborhoods, as they are great, safe areas and very central to many of the local attractions. If you’d like to view other recommendations of things to do, please visit this helpful guide that we’ve put together: Barcelona City Recommendations.
Once you have booked your flights, please forward your itinerary* to travel@solseedretreats.com.
