This is a different kind of golf trip, this is Leaderboard Travel! It's the Experience that Counts

Every detail in this trip was designed with the golfer and non-golfer in mind.

While it may have been tough to convince your significant other, friends, or family that don't play to come along on the golf trip, this experience proves to be the best of both worlds and caters to all. We've carefully crafted an itinerary that ensures everyone gets exactly what they want, while sharing the magic of the Azores together!

Golfers will enjoy a warm up 9 holes, and then three 18 hole rounds at the island of Sao Miguel's two incredible tracks, Batalha and Furnas Golf Courses, over the course of the five day itinerary. Sao Miguel is called the green island, but golfers will also take in plenty of blue ocean vistas, and possibly see some black volcanic sand in the bunkers along the way. 

Non-golfers will enjoy a relaxing massage and spa visit, a walking tour of historic and beautiful Ponta Delgada, a guided hike through verdant hills, and a Choose-Your-Own Adventure Day on a professionally guided excursion, all during the very same hours the golfers are hacking around.

Our professional logistics team will see to it that everyone meets up after rounds to share sightseeing, soaks in natural thermal baths, and group meals. It's the perfect vacation, and it's all set up for you.

We've even built in a full free day if you want to take a break from swinging the sticks, and would rather go canyoning, take a surf lesson, go for a hike, relax in the spa, or SO MUCH more. Our experience managers will visit daily to make sure that you are comfortable with the itinerary, have reservations as desired, and are set up to make the most of your 6 days!

All Golfer Packages include:

* Four Organized golf outings. One of 9 holes, and three of 18 holes. All with a cart & club rentals included.

All Non-Golfer Packages include an activity to fill each spot the golfers are on the course:

* Relaxing massage and Spa visit -  Sauna, Turkish bath, aromatic shower and relax indoor pool 

* Walking tour of Ponta Delgada highlighting history, attractions, shopping and dining

* Guided morning hike, with transportation, all levels accommodated

* One Choose-You-Own guided excursion: Canyoning, Horseback Riding, Surf Lessons, and more!

All Packages include:

* Two sightseeing afternoons

* Daily Golf & Experiences Concierge visits to help you plan free time.

* 5 nights / 6 days lodging at Octant Ponta Delgada

* Daily breakfast, three lunches, and three dinners. Most dietary restrictions are easily accommodated.

* Round-trip airport transfers from Ponta Delgada Airport (PDL) to Octant Ponta Delgada

* Base gratuities for all included accommodation, meals, transportation, and excursions

Packages do not include:

* Airfare to Ponta Delgada Airport (PDL)

All participant reservations require a €500 non-refundable and non-transferable deposit per participant, which secures your place on the Trip.

Participant-Initiated Cancellation

Any amounts paid in excess of the €500 deposit are refundable only if SolSeed Retreats LLC (“SolSeed”) receives written notice of cancellation no later than ninety (90) days prior to the scheduled Trip start date.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@solseedretreats.com and will be deemed effective only upon actual receipt by SolSeed. Notices received after 11:59 PM (local time at SolSeed’s principal place of business) on the applicable deadline date shall be treated as untimely.

The €500 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances, including but not limited to illness, injury, personal emergencies, scheduling conflicts, or changes in travel plans.

Within ninety (90) days of the Trip start date, all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, including any amounts paid beyond the initial deposit. Refunds will not be issued in the form of credits, transfers, substitutions, or rebookings for future trips or other SolSeed offerings, unless expressly approved in writing by SolSeed in its sole discretion.

SolSeed-Initiated Cancellation

SolSeed may deviate from the foregoing refund policy only if the Trip must be canceled due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to the following:

• The host country’s government prohibits entry or travel for tourism purposes;

• The host country’s government prohibits SolSeed’s vendors or accommodations from hosting tourists; or

• The United States government prohibits U.S. citizens from traveling to the destination for tourism purposes.

If SolSeed cancels or postpones the Trip for any of the reasons listed above, each registered participant shall receive a refund of all amounts paid, less a €200 administrative and processing fee.

You must have a valid passport to travel to the Azores. Please check your passport expiration date and make sure it is valid for at least 3 months after the end date of your retreat.

The purchase of travel insurance is required for this trip.

Most policies protect you against potential trip delays or cancellations due to airline issues, family emergencies, illness, injury, etc. The travel insurance will also demonstrate to the host country that you are able to pay for any emergency services which may be necessary during your stay.

SolSeed is not authorized to sell travel insurance. Any offer to purchase travel insurance that you encounter during the checkout process are third party offers. You are free to select your own policy provider. If you would like to review options in a convenient online marketplace, we like what www.insuremytrip.com has put together. We've also had great experiences with the customer service and packages at Trawick International, AAA and American Express.

Most folks will arrive after a red-eye flight, and so everyone's rooms are held for an early check in, and a nice nap. 

A welcome lunch, and introduction to your team of hosts will commence at 12pm. After lunch,  golfers will be shuttled to the course for an opening 9 holes, while non-golfers enjoy a relaxing massage and spa visit, think sauna, Turkish bath, aromatic shower, and indoor pool.

We'll close this day with an included dinner back at Octant. Our goal is to prove a smooth entry into the week!

After breakfast, golfers will get back in the shuttles and ship out for 18 holes at either Batahla or Furnas.  Meanwhile, the non-golfers will meet their guides for the day, and embark on a beautiful, all-levels hike. 

After the morning activities, everyone will meet up to enjoy either a lunch at the golf club house, or at a local restaurant, before doing some sightseeing and visiting a volcanic thermal bath/hot spring! 

After breakfast, the golfers will get back in the shuttles and ship out for 18 holes at either Batahla or Furnas. Meanwhile, non-golfers will meet their guide for a walking tour of Ponta Delgada. The tour will include interesting history, beautiful sites, and an insiders take on the best shopping and dining options.

After the morning activities, everyone will meet up to enjoy either a lunch at the golf club house, or at a local restaurant, before doing some sightseeing and visiting a volcanic thermal bath/hot spring!

Breakfast will be served from 7 to 10am, and your designated team of hosts will help you to schedule activities should you please. Options include:

*Adventurous tours like canyoning

*Surf lessons/Surf excursion

*Additional Spa Services

*Totally Free Time!

*And so much more!

We'll close the day at one of our favorite restaurants with a dinner out for the whole group!

Once again, after breakfast at the resort, golfers will load up for 18 holes at either Batalha or Furnas. Unlike the previous days of 18 holes, after golf, there is nothing scheduled until dinner!

Shuttles are included back the resort after golf, and again you may sign up for tours, or simply head into Ponta Delgada for some exploration and a nice lunch.

Non-golfers will partake in an "Excursion of their Choice", selected from a carefully curated list of options presented by the onsite concierge team. From adventurous canyoning, to relaxing ceramics or cooking class, there are choices for all sorts of travelers.

In the evening, we'll host a closing award dinner, where golfers and non-golfers will be honored for the relevant, and irreverent accomplishments over the week!

Breakfast is again included from 7 to 10am. Everyone must have their bags out of their rooms by the standard noon check out time, but the resort will happily store your luggage if your flight off the island falls in the afternoon or evening. 

Once again, there is time for your 'bonus round' of golf, or more exploration.

Your hosts will schedule you an included taxi from the resort back to the airport at which time you need it.
