Join Jennifra Norton for a bucket list, 7 night/8 day yoga retreat and cultural exploration of Morocco.
Morocco is one of the most culturally rich and interesting places in the world. Bordering the Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea, Morocco’s vast and diverse landscape features ancient cities, stretches of empty beaches, and stark deserts and mountains touched by Berber, Arabian and European influences.
Our Morocco trip is unique as you will not be staying in one location, but rather traveling to two different cities, Marrakech & Essaouira, which, in our opinion, represent the “must see” highlights of Morocco.
Our days will be curated to allow enough time to explore Morocco and ourselves. Daily rejuvenating yoga and meditation practices will be led by Jennifra. Also included are five of our most popular excursions: a guided walking tour of the Marrakech medina, a history & walking tour of the Essaouira medina, a women's Argan oil cooperative tour, a Moroccan cooking class, and of course, a beach camel ride.
There will also be plenty of free time to explore (and shop!) the cultural walled cities of Essaouira and Marrakech, partake in optional excursions like visiting palaces, museums, botanical gardens, or even ATV tours, and book massage and hammam treatments. Make sure to scroll all the way down to the itinerary below for more trip details.

Past Retreat Participant Review:
Between the eye popping natural beauty, the hikes and soaking in hot springs then swimming in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean I was enthralled.
The boutique hotel was lovely and cozy, then the great yoga practices and fun company, I returned home full of gratitude and ease. Highly recommend both Jennifra and SolSeed.

Our trip will begin in the culturally rich city of Marrakech. Nestled in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech was founded as a city in 1062 AD, and is world renowned for its souks (markets) and medieval maze-like streets, stunning mosques and palaces, relaxing hammans (Moroccan baths), delicious food, and much more. A perfect place to assimilate and integrate into life in Morocco, we will spend our first two nights here, before heading to the walled coastal city of Essaouira on Day 3 of our trip.
After a scenic drive through the Moroccan country side, we will arrive at the coastal city of Essaouira. Nicknamed the Pearl of the Atlantic, this cultural city is famed for its rich music and arts scene, and was home to many famous artists and musicians (Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix) in the 60’s and 70’s.
The old walled-in medina boasts some of the finest handmade arts and crafts, as well as all of the traditional colors, aromas, music and spices of Morocco. Essaouira features great restaurant options, and tons of fresh seafood. A large crescent bay, with calm waters and consistent winds, sits just south of the walled city, and has attracted wind and kite surfers, and beach-goers, for decades. The souks (markets) of Essaouira are an incredible place to get your shopping done, and will allow you to bring a taste of Morocco back home with you.
We will stay at the beautiful Essaouira Lodge, an approximately 15 min drive from downtown Essaouira, set peacefully amongst argan and olive tree orchards. This retreat center features a heated pool and lounge area, restaurant and bar, a dedicated yoga studio, and private villa.
During our 5 nights in Essaouira, we will have two free days to explore this remarkable city, as well as two days in which we will schedule some of our favorite excursions, including a beach camel ride, Moroccan cooking class, a guided history & walking tour of the Essaouira Medina, and an organic argan oil cooperative tour.
(Drive time from Marrakech to Essaouira ~ 2.5 hours)
On the morning of our last day, we will depart from Essaouira back to Marrakech, where return flights home await. Retreaters can of course extend their stay in Morocco from here - perhaps venturing to the Sahara Desert or to northern points. This is also a wonderful opportunity to tack on a night or two in Europe, where your flight home to the US will likely stopover.
