About this trip

Join Terry Coburn for 5 nights and 6 days in the wild, soulful beauty of the Scottish Highlands. This isn’t just a getaway, it’s an invitation to step into a different rhythm of life, where time slows down, the land speaks, and you reconnect with yourself in ways that feel both grounding and expansive.

This retreat is being crafted with the intention of creating space for connection—with nature, with yourself, and with a like-hearted community. Through movement, local adventure, and meaningful rest, we’ll come together for an unforgettable week in a place that invites both grounding and wonder.

If you’re longing for an adventure that nourishes your soul and leaves you feeling restored, inspired, and deeply alive, this journey is for you.

Nourish Your Body:

*Private Chef Experience: A Culinary Journey Through Scotland

Indulge in three expertly crafted meals daily, prepared by our talented private chef who celebrates the finest Scottish ingredients. From hearty Highland breakfasts featuring locally sourced eggs and artisanal oats to dinners showcasing seasonal vegetables from nearby farms and fresh catches from Scottish waters, each meal is designed to nourish both body and spirit.

**Most dietary preferences and restrictions can be accommodated, but please email info@solseedretreats.com if you have a specific concern or severe allergy ahead of registration.

*Daily Yoga & Qigong Programming

Terry will be offering daily yoga and qigong practices designed to help you reconnect to your body, breath, and intuition, all held within the quiet, expansive beauty of the Scottish countryside.

Four Included Cultural & Active Excursions:

*Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park: Scotland's Crown Jewel

Venture into the breathtaking landscapes of Scotland's first national park, where "bonnie banks" of Loch Lomond stretch beneath towering peaks and ancient forests. This pristine wilderness offers soul-stirring vistas that have inspired poets and artists for generations.

We will included a guided, all levels "Hill Walk" so that you can enjoy the park's diverse ecosystems and dramatic scenery.

*Edinburgh Discovery Day: Where History Comes Alive

Journey to Scotland's magnificent capital for a full day of exploration. Begin with a guided walking tour through the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, where medieval architecture tells tales of kings and queens, poets and philosophers. Then enjoy free time to wander the Royal Mile, browse local shops, or perhaps visit one of the city's renowned museums. The afternoon is yours to savor a traditional Scottish tea or explore the vibrant neighborhoods that make Edinburgh a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lunch will be on your own this day.

*Day Trip to the Village of Stirling

Discover Stirling, the historic heart of Scotland — where ancient castles, cobblestone streets, and sweeping Highland views tell the story of a nation. You’ll have the option to visit the majestic Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s grandest fortresses, and learn about the city’s pivotal role in the country’s history. Enjoy time to explore local shops and cafés, or take in the panoramic views from the castle walls before returning to the countryside for your evening class and chef-prepared dinner. Lunch will be on your own this day.

*Celebratory Ceilidh Dance: Join the Highland Tradition

Experience the joy and community spirit of Scottish culture through a traditional Ceilidh dance evening. No experience necessary – our local dance caller will guide you through the steps of time-honored Scottish reels and jigs. Laugh, connect, and celebrate with fellow retreat participants on your final evening together as you become part of a tradition that has brought communities together for centuries.

Rachel's Farm: Where Comfort Meets Countryside Charm

Nestled 45 minutes outside Edinburgh in the heart of the Scottish countryside is Rachel's Farm, a boutique retreat center that provides the perfect blend of rustic authenticity and modern comfort. Wake each morning to panoramic views of heather-covered hills and the gentle sounds of nature. The carefully restored farmhouse accommodations offer cozy, luxurious rooms and common spaces, all with access to outdoor hot tubs.

The retreat experience is designed to cultivate meaningful connections – with yourself, with nature, and with your fellow participants. Shared meals, group activities, and communal relaxation time create natural opportunities for authentic conversation and friendship. Many guests discover that the relationships formed during these retreats continue to enrich their lives long after returning home.

Sláinte to your well-being and the adventure that awaits!

Flight Parameters

Included airport transfers for this retreat will be from Edinburgh Airport (EDI). We’ve compiled a list of recommended flights (Click the link) from Boston (BOS) to Edinburgh as suggestions which meet the parameters, and prioritize the best itineraries and prices.

Arrival Date: Sunday, September 27th, 2026

If you will arrive on the retreat start date, please plan to land at Edinburgh Airport (EDI) by 10:00 AM. Please note that you will likely need to depart from the United States in the evening prior to your retreat start date, as flights heading to Europe are typically overnight flights. If you plan to arrive early to spend extra time in Edinburgh prior to the retreat start date, plan to meet the group back at the airport by 10:30AM, or take the train to Stirling Transit Station by 11:00 AM.

We will schedule two included group transfers to Rachel’s Farm, our retreat center.

  1. From Edinburgh airport at approx. 10:30 AM.

  2. From Stirling Transit Station at approx. 11:00 AM.

If you plan not to use this included transfer and arrive at a different time, see Alternative Travel to Rachel’s Farm for suggested options at your own cost. Our first scheduled event of the retreat is lunch at roughly 2:00PM.

Departure Date: Friday, October 2nd, 2026

Please do NOT book flights that depart before 11:15 AM on the departure date, as our first shuttle will arrive at EDI around 8:15AM. If you plan not to use this included transfer, check out time at Rachel’s Farm is 11AM. A taxi from the farm to the airport in Edinburgh runs around £100.

Once you have booked your flights, please forward your itinerary* to travel@solseedretreats.com.

*Dates, times, and flight number of arrival and departure must be provided.

Activity Level

We rank this itinerary as Activity Level 4 - Active, however, modifications are available to make it Activity Level 3 - Moderate. Specifically, the visit to the Trossachs and the variable weather conditions may present a hike day more suitably described as Active than Moderate, and so participants may need to modify their participation accordingly. The local guides will assist in this decision leading up to the excursion.

Activity Level 1 - Easy: Expect only short walks, and short flights of stairs.

Activity Level 2 - Relaxed: Expect short walks, slight inclines, and sustained activity for only a few hours.

Activity Level 3 - Moderate: Expect slightly longer walks, and activities that correlate to a semi-active lifestyle. Participants should be comfortable with half days of touring, and walking up and down steeper inclines.

Activity Level 4 - Active: Expect longer walks, steeper inclines, and 4 - 6 hours of sustained activities, with appropriate rests. To take advantage of all the offerings, folks should lead an active life style.

Activity Level 5 - Challenging: Expect vigorous walks, hikes, kayaking, etc. Participants should be experienced in outdoor activities, and know how to prepare for, and endeavor upon full day adventures in the wild!

If you have any questions or concerns about this itinerary's Activity Level, please contact info@solseedretreats.com for more details prior to registering.

Passport Requirements + Tourist Visa

You must have a valid passport to travel to The United Kingdom which is valid for the duration of your stay.

Booking Conditions & Cancellation Policy

All Retreat reservations require a €500 non-refundable and non-transferable deposit per participant, which secures your place on the Retreat.

Participant-Initiated Cancellation

Any amounts paid in excess of the €500 deposit are refundable only if SolSeed Retreats LLC (“SolSeed”) receives written notice of cancellation no later than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the scheduled Retreat start date.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@solseedretreats.com and will be deemed effective only upon actual receipt by SolSeed. Notices received after 11:59 PM (local time at SolSeed’s principal place of business) on the applicable deadline date shall be treated as untimely.

The €500 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances, including but not limited to illness, injury, personal emergencies, scheduling conflicts, or changes in travel plans.

Within one hundred twenty (120) days of the Retreat start date, all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, including any amounts paid beyond the initial deposit.

Required Travel Insurance

The purchase of travel insurance is required for this trip.

Most travel insurance policies can help protect you in the event of unexpected trip delays or cancellations due to airline disruptions, family emergencies, illness, or injury. Coverage can also help demonstrate to the host country that you are financially prepared to cover emergency services that may be needed during your stay.

SolSeed does not sell or provide travel insurance. Any insurance offers you may see during checkout are provided by third-party providers, and you are free to choose the policy and provider that best fit your needs.

If you’d like a convenient place to compare options, we’ve found InsureMyTrip to be a helpful online marketplace. We’ve also had excellent experiences with Trawick International and their customer service, and have heard consistently positive feedback from AAA and American Express members who have purchased travel insurance through those organizations. Additionally, some travel-focused credit cards—such as the Chase Sapphire® cards—may include built-in travel insurance benefits when trip-related expenses are paid with the card. Coverage and eligibility vary by card and issuer, so we recommend reviewing your card’s benefits guide or contacting the card issuer directly to confirm what protections apply.

We strongly encourage you to speak directly with a travel insurance agent to discuss your specific coverage needs and to make sure you understand what your policy does—and does not—cover.

If you’d like to learn more about travel insurance and our general recommendations, please visit our blog post: https://solseedretreats.com/travel-insurance-faqs/

Retreat Package Selection - PLEASE READ

Below is a list of all available accommodation packages. Each package is defined by the room occupancy — single, double, or shared (3–4 people per room) — and the bathroom setup associated with that room. All accommodations are spread across five shared houses on the Rachel’s Farm property, except for The Premium Single Suite – The Cottage, which is a private, standalone unit.

Each house contains 2 to 4 bedrooms, and bathroom arrangements vary:

- Some rooms feature private bathrooms
- Other rooms share a hallway bathroom

Please note, not all private bathrooms are ensuite, nor can an ensuite private bathroom be guaranteed with your booking. If you have a strong preference for an ensuite bathroom, or a physical limitation which would make this a safer option, please indicate this upon checkout and we will do our best to honor your request.

Due to the layout of the houses, we cannot guarantee that you and your friends will be assigned rooms in the same house and receive your first-choice accommodation package

Traveling with Friends?

If you'd like to stay in the same house as your friends, please:

1. Email us as a group at info@solseedretreats.com and make sure to list the names of everyone who will be traveling together

2. Let us know your preferred accommodation packages

3. We'll help you explore the best options based on availability

If you're worried about the retreat selling out before coordinating, you can go ahead and book your preferred package now — and we’ll do our best to group you with your friends later.  There may be a small price difference depending on how the final arrangements work out, but we’ll clearly explain and confirm everything before making any changes.

The Good News?

All of the houses are spacious, have shared living areas, and are just a short walk from each other. Wherever you and your friends are placed, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to relax and connect in cozy, communal spaces.
