Such a lovely experience. The guides really make the experience special and Ismail did just that. This personally felt like a really busy retreat. For instance the cooking day/women's argan oil felt a bit choppy with no time to rest. I appreciated moving the Gnawa dance to Wednesday over Friday at the Essaouira Lodge but honestly because we experienced it in Marrakech, we could’ve done without (it was a fantastic experience though). The stop at the Herbalism shop in Marrakech was fun! But because a lot of us spend so much money (and purchased Argan oil) there we didn’t buy as much at the Women’s Argan Oil which we all would have preferred. Overall, a wonderful experience and a new found love for Morocco.

I was really impressed by the organisation of the trip, everything was very smooth & Deb was brilliant. The location was prefect & the food amazing. I couldn't fault it & would definitely travel with Solseed again

We did a retreat in San Miguel…was a beautiful location. Fabulous resort. The organization of the retreat - our on-site representatives did amazing job of seamlessly corralling 31 very unique individuals for meals and excursions, fitting all in around our yoga sessions and making sure we had rooms and roommate compatibility. Superb.

We had a great time. Great balance of free time and group activities and excursions. Expert assistance by SolSeed staff. The team at Santa Barbara was terrific, from front desk to restaurant and bar to housekeeping, everyone was wonderful. Accommodations were comfortable and we appreciated the special touches (Sleeping Ritual tea blend and notes). The food and drinks were phenomenal each and every meal. The drivers arranged by SolSeed were personable and professional, we enjoyed them very much. Hated to leave. Hope to return!

Adventure at Lake Atitlan with Andrea Gleason March 21-28 2026 I have mixed feelings about my experience with Solseed Retreats. My primary concern is the lack of helpful information describing the level of mobility required to move about the retreat grounds. An expectation for climbing 8-12 sets of stone steps *without railings* should be clearly explained. Also, maneuvering around the historic, cobblestoned city (where we stayed the day of arrival ) requires excellent mobility on uneven surfaces. A clear statement that “this trip is not advised for anyone who has trouble walking or climbing without assistance” should be included in the description of the grounds and local area. The staff, the food, and the beautiful setting are terrific. The twice daily yoga program was very nice, along with the Closing Fire Ceremony and of course, grilled Pizza night. Btw, the kitchen staff went above and beyond trying to accommodate all the diet restrictions and preferences. Thank them for us please. Janice Boyko
