Find Serenity on Spain’s Rugged Coast...
Join Emile Reid and Ilana Beigel for 5 nights / 6 days in Catalunya’s Costa Brava in Spain.
You’re invited to discover the wild serenity of Costa Brava, meaning “rugged coast.” This majestic piece of Spain’s Mediterranean coastline stretches from the France-Spain border, south towards Barcelona.
Deepen your connection to your senses and to nature in the excellent company of like-minded travelers. Rest, reset, and nourish yourself in the haven and solitude of our private villa. Every detail in the villa was designed to help you leave behind your daily routine and spend a quiet, blissful time tuning in to the rhythm of nature.
Enjoy yoga & meditation twice daily in the gorgeous yoga shala with breathtaking sea views. Emilie and Ilana share a practical approach to traditional practices, making them useful and usable - and frankly, more fun - to us modern humans living in the world.
Ilana teaches with equal parts reverence and delight, and might throw in some soul-searching inquiries on the “meaning of life.” A class with Emilie will leave you feeling light-hearted and connected to your body and to the Earth. Both Emilie and Ilana guide Instinctive Meditation, a way of practicing meditation that feels natural, refreshing, and revitalizing. Classes are all-levels with no prior yoga or meditation experience needed.
Throughout the retreat, Emilie and Ilana will guide you to connect with the elements, with nature, and with the beauty that exists in every moment.
The food will be a highlight of your experience. Every meal at the villa will be specially prepared for you by our very own private chef, featuring creative Mediterranean vegetarian dishes.
The region is well-loved for its picturesque Medieval-era towns, beautiful rolling hills, and gorgeous beaches, and is the perfect place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
This itinerary includes two cultural excursions that highlight the unique must-dos of the region, including a visit to the infamous Dali Museum.
On your first full day in Costa Brava, you will spend time exploring the beautiful coastline, both directly below the retreat center, and on a walk on the nearby coast. You’ll get beautiful views from up high on cliffs, of the beautiful blue sea water. You’ll take our shoes off and cross soft, sandy beaches, and end the hike with some delicious Spanish tapas at a seaside cafe.
You will also spend a day visiting the cultural and historical city of Girona, including an expertly guided tour of the old city, tapas lunch at a delicious local restaurant, and a visit to the Salvador Dali Museum in nearby Figueres.
Of course you’ll have ample free time to simply sit by the pool, read a book, get a massage, visit a nearby village, and practice yoga and meditation with Emilie and Ilana.
The town of Begur is a 30 minute walk (or 10 minute drive) from the retreat property, and features wonderful little shops, restaurants, and ruins of a Medieval Castle. Fancy a beach day? There are two gorgeous beaches within a 30 minute walk of the villa.

A 500 EURO non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot on this retreat. The balance is due 120 days prior to trip departure, by May 27th. Flexible payment plans are available, just email info@solseedretreats.com to set one up.
Arrival Day: Saturday, October 5th
If you will arrive at Barcelona Airport (BCN) on Saturday, October 5th, please plan to land by 11am. We will schedule one included group transfer from the airport to our resort in Begur (about a 1.5 hour drive), and arrive in time for an afternoon meal.
Please note that you will need to depart from the United States on the evening of Friday, October 4th, as flights heading over to Spain are typically overnight flights.
If you plan to arrive a few days early to spend extra time in Barcelona prior to October 5th, we will also make one pickup stop in the city center before heading to the retreat center. Barcelona’s streets are tightly regulated, and so the hired transport can only stop in select areas. You should be prepared to take a short taxi or Uber to a central location on the morning of October 5th. We will send full details about a week prior to the retreat start date.
Departure Day: Thursday, October 10th
Please do NOT book flights that depart before 12pm on Thursday, October 10th, as we will be traveling about 1.5 hours from our resort in Begur to the airport that morning.
Note: We will plan to make one stop at the airport, and one stop in the city center for anyone staying on and exploring Barcelona after the retreat. Once again, this stop will be made in a central location, and a short taxi ride will likely be necessary to reach your specific hotel or AirBnB.
If you are spending extra time in Barcelona, we recommend booking hotels / AirBnbs in the El Born and Gothic Quarter neighborhoods, as they are great, safe areas and very central to many of the local attractions. If you’d like to view other recommendations of things to do, please visit this helpful guide that we’ve put together: Barcelona City Recommendations.
Once you have booked your flights, please forward your flight confirmation email to info@solseedretreats.com.

We will stay at the uncompromising Villa Pi Blau, in the town of Begur. This family owned and operated retreat center offers the perfect combination of home-like feel and resort amenities. The property was intentionally built for wellness retreats, boasting a breathtaking fitness space, relaxing massage rooms, inviting kitchen and dining spaces, an infinity pool and gardens, and lots of comfy areas to simply relax and unplug.
The villa has a mix of single, double and triple occupancy bedrooms, most with ensuite private baths. The decor in the bedrooms is simple, and aims to calm the senses, but every detail has been considered for your comfort. Mattresses are made of organic latex and Pyrenees sheep wool. Organic cotton bed sheets and linen waffle towels are produced in the South of Spain. WiFi is available on the property, but is left out of the bedrooms.
Most of the incredible meals on this retreat will be served at Villa Pi Blau, with the exception of a couple lunches out during our excursion days.
Meals served at the retreat center are vegetarian and will be prepared by an incredible private chef. The meals we include on our excursion days out will feature meat and seafood options as well, and you will have two lunches on your own to dine wherever you like.
Wine and beer are available for purchase via an honor bar the villa, and outside alcohol is permitted with a corking fee, but there is no official bar.
